I year old!

We always do donuts for birthday breakfasts. We've yet to find the best place in our new area. These ones were OK, but a dozen for $12....i don't think so!!

Here is the cake I made for the birthday party. I also made little cupcakes, I was getting too tired, and you can tell...they might not have been to pretty but they were dang good to eat!
Wade was a good sport and hung up the Christmas lights, we need to work on getting more lights in the back yard.  Here he is showing off, and Gavin drooling over the cake!
Here is Oakley waiting for the guests to arrive! This was probably his happiest moment all night long.
Blowing out the birthday candle and being held down so he didn't burn his hands...
Here he is wondering why that cupcake was so small :)
All the kids and a few brave Moms playing fruit basket.
Opening gifts from Grandma & Grandpa Eagar
Cousin Shelby helping open more presents.
My Grandparents, we are lucky enough to live just two miles away. So glad they could come to the party!!

TOO FAST!!

2 days old
1 month

2 months

3 months

4 months

5 months

6 months

Its just not fair how fast they grow. Seems like I blinked and he is grown. 6 month accomplishments include rolling all over on the floor, getting his two front teeth, sitting in a high chair, grabbing at things & actually getting them, making Garth cry, giving up his pacifier, sleeping through the night {most of the time}, eating his first veggies, going swimming for the first time, quietly cooing in his crib till we come to get him after nap time and of course loving his brothers. His face just lights up when his brothers are around, they can almost always calm him down, when they come with a song or a toy to play with. Oakley is such a great little guy and we love him so much!!

old project....finished!!

Oakley is all smiles lately. He is totally ticklish and will do his silent open mouth smile. Sometimes he will coo back at you too. He will smile at Dad's weird noises every time. He is a stinker though and still wakes up lots during the night, which makes for a hard morning for me.
I still manage to get lots done though. Thank goodness the older boys are all back is school and preschool. Garth is mostly potty trained. I have to remind him lots, but he got to pick out his own underwear and is doing pretty good. I made a cute purse for Jasper's friends Birthday. Hopefully I'll remember to post pics before he gives it. Wade also showed me how to use our small paint sprayer so Ive been helping to get the shelves painted for our new bookshelves. They are gonna look so awesome! Don't worry I'll post pics of those too! I finally pulled out a project that I started almost 5 months ago. I was all in a hurry to get it done, but then kept having problems so kinda just gave up. Over Christmas I got a new sewing foot for my sewing machine and it made this project a little easier. Anyway....here is the cushion I finally finished.
You would not believe how hard it is to get all those stripes lined up! But they are {mostly} all lined up. And it looks pretty dang good. I added a zipper as I know I'll be washing it a ton, and it can also be turned over...
I think I'll use some of the fabric I was thinking of using before for the cushion to do a few little pillows....
And here is Gavin, putting the cushion right to use!!

Zzzzzz

The past few days i've put Oakley to nap in his crib. But he wakes up over and over, crying. So i finally just put him in his bouncy chair in the kitchen...and he falls asleep. Today G&G were eating lunch when he fell asleep. Yesterday the boys were all playing wii (loudly) and i was baking and using the very loud wheat grinder. This kid is so weird!! But im glad he's asleep!

Blessing Day

Oakley was blessed today. Wade did an awesome job, he was quite emotional (you know cause its our last kid ;) but he was able to finish and I think gave the best blessing of all our kids (you know, cause we have so many ;).
I was very grateful to have so many come and support us. My Grandparents as well as my aunt Jane & uncle Jan where able to be there, as well as 5 of my siblings. Wade's sister and BIL and SIL were also able to come. Both sets of Grandparents were there, as well as our friends the Fallers and Burrs. We feel so loved! We rushed home afterwards to a great brunch (except for the dang egg casserole, if anyone asks me again "are they done yet" I might have a break down;). We are so thankful for our awesome family and friends.
I am also to glad the last week is over. It was too much. Too many things to get done, and places to be and things to buy. Ug. Why do holidays have to be so crazy. I'm looking forward to this next week. Wade will be off from work and I'm looking forward to some down time. Shopping (just for me), movies, spa day, reading and relaxing all on my to do list. And I am super excited about the firecrackers I could legally buy ;) Its gonna be a good week!!

Little Oakley likes to sleep, EAT & well you know what else...
He also LOVES his pacifier.
He does not like baths or diaper changes.
He likes Dad pretty well, but LOVES his Mom!
Jack and Jasper both love to hold and touch his little head.
Gavin and Garth got to see Oakley twice at the hospital, and have since, enjoyed a vacation at Grandma & Grandpa's house.
