We went trick or treating with a couple cousins, we left them in the dust but it was fun!

Fabric
Wade will confirm this but I have a small {LARGE} problem. I love fabric. Our closet is starting to be taken over by it. Especially as I am making 4 Halloween costumes, finishing up a curtain, sewing baby stuff and countless other half finished projects. The latest involves all this...
It looks so yummy! Rights??
I am also considering entering a craft fair. So my mind is going crazy wondering if I can pull it off. Im already stressed about it, but I think it could be fun. And maybe I could actually make some money and even maybe get rid of some of this fabric!!Meanwhile little O is almost one, and it makes me want to cry. Luckily I've gotten to hold two brand new babies in the last week and that made me feel a little better.
Garth just finished up his last week of gymnastics. I couldnt seem to ever get him there on time, but he had a great time. I have caught him singing "Im a little Tea Pot" twice today. TOO CUTE!
Gavin WILL NOT STOP COLORING. I find crayons everywhere, and as soon as he wakes up he is asking for paper to color on...it drives me crazy, but I have to say his teenage mutant ninja turtles, are looking rather life like!
Jasper is doing awesome at school I keep getting sweet notes from his teacher. He is doing great at Soccer and is really just so fun. He is excited about turning 8 next month and keeps telling me what color scriptures he wants.
Jack is very concerned that his Aragorn boots look cool. (halloween costume) He is doing great at school as well. I enjoy going into his class once a week to help with a gardening course his class is doing. We have also discovered that he does not think it is cool that I blast the music while he is exiting the car (when he's getting dropped off at the bus or soccer or anywhere...) Needless to say now I just turn it up more:)
I was feeling bad that I hadnt updated for a while. Seems life is just speeding by. So many good things going on!!

hoot hoot!!
its been such a long some, but I'm so excited to be running again. Last week 6 miles, this week I'm hoping to do 11. I have a little loop through the neighborhood that is a mile. I love it. I love running. It gives me a break, I can think, I can breath, plus this weather is awesome!! Ive got to hurry and finish this post so I can go RUN!!! hoot hoot!!
My sister Natalie from Washington made a purse like this for her daughter...Well I don't have one of those, so Jasper got invited to a girls birthday so I thought it the perfect excuse to make something cute!! Hello OWL purse...

old project....finished!!
Oakley is all smiles lately. He is totally ticklish and will do his silent open mouth smile. Sometimes he will coo back at you too. He will smile at Dad's weird noises every time. He is a stinker though and still wakes up lots during the night, which makes for a hard morning for me.
I still manage to get lots done though. Thank goodness the older boys are all back is school and preschool. Garth is mostly potty trained. I have to remind him lots, but he got to pick out his own underwear and is doing pretty good. I made a cute purse for Jasper's friends Birthday. Hopefully I'll remember to post pics before he gives it. Wade also showed me how to use our small paint sprayer so Ive been helping to get the shelves painted for our new bookshelves. They are gonna look so awesome! Don't worry I'll post pics of those too! I finally pulled out a project that I started almost 5 months ago. I was all in a hurry to get it done, but then kept having problems so kinda just gave up. Over Christmas I got a new sewing foot for my sewing machine and it made this project a little easier. Anyway....here is the cushion I finally finished.

Sewing Projects
As much as I'd love to do new nursery bedding and decor....I just don't have the time or money. So were going with the recycle theme and just adding to what we already have.
Sadly I have never made a quilt for any of my babies. Flannel & fleece blankets....YES. But a real handmade - just for them quilt, no. So #5 will have something made just for him (NOT a hand-me-down). I got a fun baby/sewing book from the library and it had this cool quilt pattern. So without buying ANY new fabric (Wade will be so HAPPY) I made this little baby quilt & a matching pillow!!
These are burp cloths that I finished about 10 minutes ago. I wont tell you how long ago I started on them (it was this year at least!) They are actually made from cloth diapers that I bought when Jack was born (yes that means they are 10 years old!!) They were not what I thought I was buying but they worked and I've used them for all my babies so far. (as burp cloths, not diapers) But they were long past being white anymore, so I dyed them (not the best dye job either) and then cut them smaller and added cute flannel.... And once again I did not spend a dime. (unless you count the green and brown trim that I bought like a month ago, with no project in mind, just cause I liked it!!)
I am SO ready for this baby to come. I don't think I've ever been so uncomfortable, tired and my feet are killing me!! But I still have lots to do before #5 joins us.
*I have to get Wade to paint the crib & changing table (he says he wont, but if I buy all the stuff -I think he'll come around!
*Buy a new car seat (seriously not happy about this one, but its been 10 years since our last one was purchased and I'm pretty sure it's not safe anymore).
*I would really LOVE to get Garth potty trained, he's put on underwear a couple time the last week, but he's just not interested. M&M's just aren't doing the trick.
*I talked Jack and Jasper into a combined birthday party, so I could get it all over at once, before the baby comes.... now I just need to plan and get it done.
*Also have one Dementor (from Harry Potter) costume to make and a pair of size 8 toddler brown boots to find (Woody from toy story).
Oh I think I could go on and on, but I need a nap before I can continue......

Fathers and Babies
I've been in a crafty mood lately. Unfortunately none of its been for our house - Its sadly lacking some curtains...Oh well.
We have some friends that are expecting their 3rd girl in a couple weeks. So I made this quilt for them. They loved the one I made for their last little girl, so I couldnt resist. Its not very babyish, but I think it'll do. The fabric is all Amy Butler and I got the idea for the flowers from fabric.com
This week I will have my first ultrasound ever...we find out if the little stinker growing inside me is a girl or boy. I'm pretty sure I'll have some mixed feelings either way. I just pray that its healthy. And if its a girl I have plenty of fabric left over to start another quilt!!
My SIL decided we needed to make these for our hubbys. They turned out pretty cute. I had to switch mine up a bit, but I think Wade will love it, and it'll be easy enough to add more pages later!!

I love the beach, and although my Dad is not a beach kind of guy I'm still hoping he will enjoy it. Hopefully we can fill the bag with enough stuff to keep him occupied while at the beach so he wont get bored!!

Im super grateful for both my Dads and Wade. Couldnt begin to do it all without them.

Things I'v been busy doing......
Ive been in a fabric buying mood. Lots of different prints from different stores. Don't know what I'll do with most of it. But I am pretty sure I'll find something....
I have a special project for these three....
The weather here has been AWESOME as usual!! We had about a month of winter weather and have been enjoying spring for the last three months!! Yes Ashlee, purple Statis does grow here...
And apparently if you put it in a pot and move it indoors for the summer this will grow too. Anyone anyone.....Know what this is?? It makes my favorite pie!
We put the garden in around the first of Feb. Already forgot most of what I planted, but there are definitely tomatoes, squash, lettuce, peppers & peas.
Even planted some asparagus this year, I wont be able to harvest it till next year, but I'm excited. Its the one dead center in the picture below. {Yes I know it has gone to seed--but that's OK}
Flowers are my favorite part about gardening...these are just a few!!
And more flowers....
And yes the special project. I was at a little fabric store with Garth and he loved their display, so I bought the pattern & sewed it up. The kids love it and want to spend the night in it outside!!
Garth loving our little tee pee.
And finally this little project. I don't normally sew for other people, too afraid I will mess up, but I altered a friends dress which was a size 12 down to a size 4. Let me tell you it was NOT easy. So glad that little project is done!!

Fabric Itch
So I love fabric, I am pretty sure it is genetic. Both my Mom and Grandma have full closets of fabric. I started working at a fabric store the week I turned 16 and even though I had other full time jobs I still worked at a fabric store untill I was married at 21. Needless to say I also have a closet full of fabric. But I always need more....So here is what I bought today!!
This cute green, purple & brown fabric will be made into the "Jenny" purse. http://lolaagain.blogspot.com/2008/01/jenny-bag-purse-tutorial.html
The top brown & cream fabric is to make little baby booties. They will be so warm and hopefully super cute!! Thanks Heather http://www.heatherbaileydesign.com/Booties.html The flannel I will save for bibs & burp cloths.
This is some super fun canvas that I am going to make into a super big beach bag. One that can hold at least 3 towels, suits for 5 people, diapers, wipes, sunblock, water, snacks, cell & keys. Hopefully the fabric and I are up to the task!!
