Eight is GREAT!

Jasper turned eight yesterday.  We had a super busy day...but we fit in a donut breakfast, Jacks soccer game, a Turkey Trot, Lunch with all my Family and most importantly the Baptism. We are so proud of Jasper.  He was so excited to get his scriptures and his scout shirt.  I am so thankful for all our family that was able to come.  So many helped out by giving talks, prayers or helping with music.  My sister, BIL and nephew did an awesome musical number.  We feel so blessed to be loved by so many!!

nothing to do.....

Yea right! Nothing to do.... I have a cazillion things to do. And sadly my blog falls to the bottom of the list. But it is way past Christmas so we gotta have a new post. So I am throwing on this pic, cause I love it. Jasper looks awesome. This week he had a horrible $7.99 haircut and I am wishing his long unruly hair was back.

****after school update. School was totally cool. Jasper still cant speak about it, just another huge smile. Jack says its fine.... if only Mom could have remembered to pick us up from the bus stop! Sigh........thank goodness for the Nichols!

Proud Momma!!

Last night was our first swim meet. They boys did great. Jack was in the backstroke relay, as well as individual freestyle and backstroke. He is more concerned about his form then winning and is still trying to figure out when to breathe.

Jasper is a born competitor and just wants to win. (form out the window) He got first in freestyle and second in the backstroke (if you can call it that!!)

It was fun to watch and yell for the kids (although I'm not sure they can hear us when they are under the water)

Theme for the last week.....

PUKE.... here, there and everywhere! half the family's had it....will it get to the rest???

Here are some puke and not so, puke stories....

Gavin: (5:30am) "Mom Moooom Mom Mom Mom" from outside my bedroom door.
Me: in bed, sleeping trying to ignore the pitiful "mom" sound
Gavin: pushing door open a little "Mom mom mom"
Me: "Gavin"
Gavin: "yes"
Me: "Can you go downstairs and get Dad"
Gavin: "OK"
a few minutes later or maybe not ya know cause I was trying to sleep....
Wade yelling in the other room about puke all over Gavin and the bed and the floor....
Yep that's me the horrible mother, who sent her sick kid downstairs to get Dad!!

This ones even better....
Me: downstairs, probably surfing the net
Kids: upstairs doing who knows what
Jasper: yelling "Mom Garth puked on me"
Me: running upstairs
Jasper: now in the bathroom trying to get off his puked on clothes without it touching his face.
Me: picking up Garth "Jasper, there is no puke coming out of Garth's mouth.
Me: looking at Garth's backside "Jasper that is not puke, that's POOP"!!!
Me: Laughing just a little
Jasper: "GROSS, that is so disgusting"
see there is something worse then Puke!!

Seeeeeeeeew Update.

Better late than never Right!! Here is our Halloween Pic. For those of you not from AZ....Wade and I are ASU fans and Gavin is our Mascot "Sparky" also known as "the devils". Still waiting for Jack to get his whole Indiana Jones costume on again so I can take an official pic....

Lots of cleaning to avoid, so I've been making balls. Aren't they cute!! Garth loves them, as do the other boys-as you can throw them pretty hard and they don't hurt.....too bad, at least!!

I am trying to decide if this will do for Jasper's Birthday Pic. I really dread the trek out to Target, and I am too cheap to go anywhere else. Gotta love this kid, he's such a cutie!!

Garth got these two little chompers on the 13th of October (you know gotta save the date...for posterity!!) They are freakishly sharp, and he is always trying to bite my arm, little stinker. Garth is also getting practise up and down the short set of stairs. He goes up pretty slow, and has taken the fast way down just once!!

Got a new hair cut, love it! I am in a sewing mood, so hang on to your boots, more pics to come!!

T-Ball

Wow where does the time go... So here is the low down on T-Ball. Both Jasper & Jack are in T-Ball, both on different teams. Jasper is a Gator and is coached by our good friend Jared Burr. Jack is on the Warriors, is coached by another good friend, Danny Stevens. So every tue & thur evening we spend about 3 1/2 hours out at the dusty school field. Gavin is not so happy with this arrangement as it falls right in the middle of bed time, thank goodness only about 2 weeks left. Garth sleeps through it all & the best part is the snack the boys get at the end!! Here are some pics of Jasper. I have pictures of Jack but he playes later in the evening & I havent gotten a good shot that is not super ugly flash yellow, so I will work on some picks of him.....
