successful lake trip!

We've been to busy to go to the lake till this month. I know crazy!!! And we've been three times this month, the first time though our boat broke, and the second we got caught in a monsoon storm within 10 minutes of being on the lake. This time is was perfect. Wade left work early and we got to the lake by 2pm (before the monsoons hits in the evening). The boys loved it. Jasper boarded first and was rip roaring to jump the wake. We tried to get him to slow down and just control the board. ya right! After he endo'd on his face, he took it a little slower, but not much. As soon as he comes out of the water he is zooming for the side of the wake and crashing over it. Crazy Kid. Jack likes control however and he stays mostly in the middle and just goes for a long time. He does like to make funny faces though ;). We let Gavin give it a go as well, but I don't think he got it, or maybe he just doesn't weight enough. He kept going right over the top of the board. He liked it though and will be ready to go for next year. Garth just loved jumping in the water. And after I got him to let go of me with his death grip he realized he could swim all over with his life jacket on! Good times! Here are a few pics.

Gavin ate a muffin, strawberries, chips, crackers & bagel, drank Gatorade and water, fell asleep for at least and hour and still had time to play in the water!
Garth slept a lot but loved splashing around in the water as well. Does that PFD look comfy or what?
Wade's one birthday request was to go to the lake. He got his wish. I even drove the boat most of the time so he could have a break. Boy is driving a pain in the butt. The water was a little choppy from the wind, but there really wasn't too many boats on the water. Oh... maybe that's cause we left home at 4am and were on the water at 6am!!
