Run Deirdre Run!!

Yesterday I ran in Susan's Run. Susan was a roommate of my SIL Jen. Susan died at the age of 24 from cancer. Unbelievable!! You can learn more about Susan and her foundation here. Keep a tissue handy though!

My two sisters and two of my SIL's ran as well. My sisters Kensie and Kara kicked my butt. Give me a break though, they are 9 and 11 years younger then me!! I was happy to keep up with my SIL Kim who ran a marathon last month!! Thanks for the invite Jen it was fun!

Life is crazy right now. Garth's Birthday is tomorrow. The little stinker will be three. I've been busy making him a shirt and a little hat. Garth has been busy with a runny nose and a yucky cough. We were planning to go up to Flag tomorrow as well. But I think we'll put it off a day or two and get all the kids healthy first.

Plus we have a half completed roof. {we are replacing the shingles} And its raining. :( We cant decide whether to just finish while its all wet and rainy or let it all dry out and then finish. What a mess. The yard is littered with staples, tar paper & shingle pieces. I am so not looking forward to the clean up. oh well.

Oakley is growing like a weed. Oh how I wish he would stay small a little longer. Its just not fair. Oakley loves all his brothers, and the attention they give him. He hates being on his tummy. He took a bath this week and didn't cry for the first time!

Gavin just wants to color and play with his friend Chase--every day!

Jasper scored three baskets at his last Basketball game. He has improved so much. He is a good kid. One thing that always makes me laugh about Jasper is that he sings all the time. In the bathroom, making his bed, playing the wii. Its awesome.

Jack is sooooo, hmm not sure of the word. He is so different then me though. He loves lists and will only go from the top to the bottom no skipping around. He has ideas how thing should happen and he WILL NOT DEPART from it. We finally found something to keep him from sucking his thumb though. Hopefully he will able to grow out of that habit!! He has enjoyed having Wade coach his Basketball team and has had fun learning the game. He is excited for his 2nd pinewood derby next week.

Wade is busy busy busy. Hockey finished up. He had a great time playing with my brother, and hopes to start up again this fall. Soccer is still on Tue nights and he wont give it up for anything {I know cause I tried}. He is glad his is not a roofer, as this week has wore him out, and that's only working a couple hours every morning. One day a worker got dropped off at 8 and worked till 5 when Wade finally came home and realized he hadn't had a break all day or even stopped to eat! We got him some food ASAP and he still worked a couple more hours!! CRAZY!!

Life is crazy with 5 kids. But we enjoy it and wouldn't have it any other way!
