Shrimp Boil

A couple weeks back we hosted our Annual Shrimp Boil. Of course it was tons of fun (and a little work), we love having everyone over to our house. And we figure good food might be the only way!! For me its like spring cleaning, it gets the house cleaned at least once a year! Although this year, we are still settling in, so just getting the bathroom painted was my goal. Anyway... back to the party. Wade and his awesome helpers got the stoves set up and the pots set to boiling while the rest of us stayed inside and tried not to giggle at Burrs SHORT SHORTS and also watch Torel's slot cars race around my dinning room. Once the food was all ready we went outside to EAT. It was HOT and their were lots of FLIES (yuck), but the food was delish. King Crab, shrimp, kielbasa, corn, potatoes and of course the rolls. Wade likes to make up different dipping sauces for the shrimp and their are all kinds of spicy to partake of. Next year we'll have to get flood lights set up, it got dark quicker than we thought, but we finished eating and then had to head to the pool to cool off. We were a little sad not to have our big pool anymore to play games in, but those who wanted made do with our small pool and we enjoyed sitting in the water and chatting. I think Wade likes extra work.... he wanted to have two kinds of homemade ice cream, so he made peanut butter/chocolate and peach. After that the party mostly broke up, so everyone could go home and lay their bulging tummies down to rest. A few did stay around to chat some more, and the sweet Fallers even did some extra clean up and wash dishes! Thanks to all who came-we love you!!
