Over Labor Day we went up to Brady Springs. It is Wade's favorite place to camp. I have not been converted yet, but what'ev it got me out of this heat! I drove up Friday afternoon with my parents & the two G's. It was a long 6 1/2 hours!! We got there just after dark, in time to set up the trailer and have super yummy banana boats. Rob (Wades Bro) and our friends Mel & Scott were already there.
Saturday Wade showed up just after 7 with the two J's. YES, that does mean he got up at 3AM to drive. (AND YES that does mean it only takes 4 hours to get there...) We set up our tent and canopy just in time for a little rain, and then the kids were off on their motorcycles (with only one obstacle-we forgot the keys!!!) For dinner we had some delish Chicken from the dutch oven. With a yummy Peach-Berry Cobbler compliments of ME!!
Sunday we got in some Settlers Games, church in Vernon for all the boys, a little more rain, moto riding & some very good, very spicy Lasagna in the dutch oven, yes me again!!! Karli made some yummy Chocolate Cherry Cobbler to top off our evening.
Monday we chilled, went on a ride to Mineral Springs, loaded up all our crap and headed home. Hit some awesome traffic and my ride home was about 7 1/2 hours. I'll admit I did read the whole way home, so it wasn't too bad. Well maybe except for the part where my Mom was telling Dad how to drive.....
Loaded all the pics on a slide show, cant get it to post..... one of these days!!
